What are the candles made of?
100% Natural Coconut and Apricot Wax Blend. Free from Parabens, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, no known or suspected carcinogens, no known or suspected endocrine disrupters and cruelty-free.
Candle care and use?
- Burn at least 2-3 hours for first use.
- Afterward, burn no more than 3 hours at a time.
- Trim wicks ¼” (0.6 cm) prior to each lighting.
What are top, middle and base notes?
Candle scents are made up of three categories of fragrance notes: top, middle, and base notes. Each note contributes to the fragrance's unique profile and how long it lasts:
- Top notes
Also called "head" notes, these are the first notes you smell and create your initial impression of the scent. They are usually lighter and more volatile, meaning they fade faster than the other notes.
- Middle notes
Also called "heart" notes or the "body" of the fragrance, these notes are more substantial and longer-lasting than top notes. They often define the candle's character and provide a balance between the top and base notes.
- Base notes
Also called "fond" notes, these notes are the foundation of the fragrance and provide depth and longevity to the aroma. They are usually rich, deep, and long-lasting, and have the largest molecules so they evaporate slowly and linger in the air.
What causes a candle to tunnel?
Tunneling occurs when a candle burns only in the center, leaving a ring of wax around the edges. To prevent this, let the candle burn long enough for the wax to melt across the entire surface, usually about one hour per inch of the candle's diameter.
Why is there black smoke coming from my candle?
Black smoke, or soot, is usually caused by an untrimmed wick. Always trim the wick to about ¼ inch before lighting it, and avoid burning candles in drafts, as these can cause uneven burning and smoking.
Why can’t I smell my candle?
The strength of a candle's scent can be affected by the size of the room, the candle's size, and the type of wax and fragrance used. Ensure you're using the right size candle for your space and allowing it to burn long enough to warm up and release the fragrance when using it for the first time (about 45 minutes to 1 hour).
Are scented candles safe for people with allergies?
While most people use scented candles without issues, some individuals may be sensitive to certain fragrances. If you have known sensitivities, it's best to avoid candles with those scents and ensure good ventilation when burning any candle.
What are the diffusers made from?
Flame-free home scented product made with fine fragrance and a nontoxic carrier oil that disperses scent continuously into the air for an extended period of time.
Free from Formaldehyde, Parabens, Phthalates, as well as Cruelty-Free and Vegan.
Is it safe to leave a reed diffuser unattended?
Yes, reed diffusers are generally safe to leave unattended as they do not involve an open flame or heat source. However, keep them out of reach of children and pets to avoid spills and ingestion.
Can I adjust the strength of the scent from the reed diffuser?
Yes, you can adjust the strength of the scent by changing the number of reeds in the diffuser. More reeds will provide a stronger scent, while fewer reeds will create a subtler aroma.
Why is my reed diffuser not smelling as strong as before?
Over time, reeds can become clogged with dust and oil, which reduces their effectiveness. Flipping the reeds or replacing them with new ones can help refresh the scent.
Can reed diffusers be used in large rooms?
Reed diffusers work best in small to medium-sized rooms. In larger spaces, the scent may dissipate quickly and not be as noticeable. For bigger rooms, multiple diffusers or larger ones may be necessary.
Where should I place my reed diffuser?
The best place for a reed diffuser is in a high-traffic area where air circulates well, such as a hallway or living room. Avoid placing it near direct sunlight or heat sources, which can cause the oil to evaporate faster.
How often should I flip the reeds?
It's generally recommended to flip the reeds once a week to maintain the scent intensity. Flipping the reeds more frequently will increase the scent but will also cause the oil to evaporate faster.
How long do reed diffusers last?
The longevity of a reed diffuser depends on the amount of oil and the number of reeds used. The diffuser includes 7 fiber reeds to release scent continuously for approximately 4-5 months. For optimal effect use all 7 reeds at the same time.
